She doubled the lead just before half-time, finishing a swift attacking move assisted by Omorinsola Babajide.

The ex-Atlético Madrid forward’s clinical display proved her pivotal role in the squad ahead of the upcoming tournament in Morocco.

Despite the wet conditions, the Nigerian ladies maintained control throughout the match.

The midfield, marshalled by Toni Payne and Jennifer Echegini, dictated the tempo, while the defence, anchored by Osinachi Ohale, kept the Cameroonian attack at bay.

Goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie made a crucial save late in the second half to preserve the clean sheet.

Interim head coach Justin Madugu utilised the second half to rotate his squad, introducing Francisca Ordega, Bolaji Olamide, Christy Ucheibe, and Emem Essien.

These changes allowed Nigeria to maintain their intensity and manage player workload effectively.

This victory marks Nigeria’s 15th win in 21 encounters against the Indomitable Lionesses and sets a positive tone for their WAFCON campaign.

The Super Falcons are scheduled to face Portugal on June 23 as they continue their preparations for the tournament in Morocco.
