BEVERLY HILLS, June 20, (THEWILL) – The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife has fired Professor Richard Akindele for allegedly demanding sex from one of his students, Monica Osagie to upgrade her score in his course.
The Vice Chancellor of the university announced his sack during a press conference on Wednesday after he was found guilty by the Governing Council of multiple allegations of misconduct.
The school had previously suspended the teacher when the student released an audio recording of their phone conversation where he was insisting on having sex with the student if she wants to pass the course.
