SAN FRANCISCO, September 6, (THEWILL) – Honourable Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, a member of the House of Representatives has been chosen as the Ogun State consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the 2019 election.
Leaders of the party in Ogun West, where the seat was zoned to, elected Akinlade, popularly known as Triple-A in a closed-door meeting, which had party executives, elders, and other aspirants from the zone in attendance.
Mohammed Olagbayi announced the decision to the media at the residence of the late Poju Adeyemi, venue of the meeting.
Akinlade represents Egbado South and Ipokia Federal constituency at the National Assembly in Abuja. He is a taxation expert and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the Lagos State University.
