January 17, (THEWILL) — Former Minister of Petroleum and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, Atuekong Don Etiebet, has described the working relationship between the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno as “legendary”, saying it has ushered in a new era of political stability and unity in the state.
Etiebet made the remark in a congratulatory message to Akpabio on his 63rd birthday, noting that the synergy between the Senate President and Governor Eno, since the governor’s entry into the APC in June last year, is unprecedented in the political history of Akwa Ibom.
According to Etiebet, the collaboration between both leaders reflects a shared commitment to justice, equity and prosperity for Nigeria, while strengthening peace and cohesion in Akwa Ibom State under the APC.
“Your zeal and dedication to a just, equitable and prosperous Nigeria, as well as joining hands with our excellent Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to build a stable, united and peaceful Akwa Ibom State on the platform of the APC, are profound. This level of synergy has never been witnessed in the state before”, Eteiebet said.
The former minister praised Akpabio’s leadership as Senate President, crediting him with driving impactful legislative initiatives and reforms that have strengthened democratic governance in Nigeria.
He described Akpabio as “an enigma and a great leader”, whose steadfastness, uncommon leadership qualities and selfless service have left indelible footprints on the nation’s political landscape.
Etiebet also offered prayers for the Senate President, asking God to grant him continued good health, strength and wisdom to sustain his service to the nation.
“As you mark this new age, may the Almighty God continue to uplift and strengthen you for the task ahead”, he prayed.
