BEVERLY HILLS, CA, December 01, (THEWILL) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Sunday declared Mr. Willie Obiano, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) winner of the governorship election in Anambra State.
The formal declaration of results was made on Sunday morning by the Chief Returning Officer, Prof. James Epoke in Anambra.
Obiano scored a total of 180,708 votes to win the election. PDP candidate, Tony Nwoye came in second with 97, 700 votes in the supplementary elections conducted on Saturday 30th of November 2013.
APC’s Chris Ngige was in third place with 95, 963 votes while Ifeanyi Ubah of the Labour Party placed fourth with 37, 495 votes.
