SAN FRANCISCO, December 02, (THEWILL) – The Chairman of the Anambra State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Ken Emeakayi, has been kidnapped by gunmen.
Reports said Emeakayi was kidnapped on Monday as he made his way back to Awka, the Anambra State capital, from Okija, his village.
PDP sources familiar with the development said the gunmen have not made contact with his family.
Kidnapping for ransom is a recurring and lucrative crime especially in the South Eastern states as well as the neighbouring Niger Delta States.
