SAN FRANCISCO, March 19, (THEWILL) – The Anioma World Assembly (AWA) has congratulated Governor Willie Obiano and his deputy, Dr. Emma Okeke on their election, inauguration and swearing in as Governor and Deputy Governor of Anambra State respectively.
The group in a statement issued in Orlando, Florida, on Monday said, “The election and smooth transition are great testimonies that our democracy is working. They also bear witness to the deep commitment and aspiration of Anambra people for a government that is a true representative of the people.”
The statement signed by Dr. Charles Oseji, Chairman, Anioma World Assembly and Echiemeze Chizekene Ofili, Secretary-General, further said, “As you continue to consolidate on the achievements by your predecessor, AWA wants to assure you of our determination to work with you to strengthen our partnership with your administration. We wish you every success in your new duties.”
Obiano and Okeke were sworn in on Monday, March 17, 2014, at a colourful and well attended ceremony in Akwa, the Anambra State capital.
