May 08, (THEWILL) — The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the screening schedule for aspirants seeking to contest Senate and House of Representatives seats ahead of the party’s primary elections for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Friday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said the screening exercise for Senate aspirants would hold from Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel, formerly known as Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
According to the schedule released by the party, the screening exercise for Senate hopefuls will commence at 10:00 a.m. on both days.
The APC also disclosed that aspirants contesting for seats in the House of Representatives would undergo screening within the same period, Saturday, May 9 to Sunday, May 10, 2026.
The exercise for House of Representatives aspirants is scheduled to take place at Treasures Suites and Conferences, Abuja, beginning at 10:00 a.m. daily.
The party advised all aspirants to attend the screening exercise punctually and ensure they come with all necessary documents and credentials required for the exercise.
THEWILL reports that the announcement is part of preparations by the APC for its forthcoming primary elections expected to produce candidates for National Assembly seats ahead of the 2027 polls.
