BEVERLY HILLS, October 01, (THEWILL) – Mr. Tonye Cole, a political greenhorn and former chief executive of Sahara Group has emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state.
Cole belongs to the main faction of the party supported by Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transport and former governor of the state.
Senator Magnus Abe, the senator representing Rivers South-East conducted a parallel congress and emerged governorship candidate of his faction of the party.
The National headquarters of the party recognises the Amaechi faction of the party.
