March 10,(THEWILL) – Arsenal will not be facing any charges from the England Football Association (FA), for the nature of their celebrations following their last-minute winner against Bournemouth in the English Premier League.
THEWILL recalls that Referee, Chris Kavanagh, noted the celebrations in his report, prompting an investigation by the FA. However, the governing body has decided not to take any action against the Gunners.
The laws of the game require players and staff to behave in a “responsible manner” and for those restricted to the technical area to not enter the field of play without a valid reason. Despite Arsenal boss, Arteta, sprinting down the touchline in celebration and a number of substitutes entering the pitch to congratulate the winger, the FA has decided that no charges will be brought against the club.
The decision will be welcomed by the Emirates side, especially as Arsenal has been fined £40,000 on two separate occasions this season for failing to control their players. Arteta described the goal as his most emotional moment in charge of Arsenal, saying it was probably the loudest and most emotional moment the team had experienced together.
