June 25, (THEWILL) – Arsenal Manager, Mikel Arteta, has dropped a hint about the potential signing of Chelsea forward, Kai Havertz, while remaining tight-lipped about a move for West Ham captain, Declan Rice.
In a recent interview, the Gunners boss acknowledged the interest in Havertz, stating: “Talent comes at a price, and at Arsenal, we are always interested in youngsters with experience.” However, when asked about Rice, Arteta refrained from commenting, saying instead: “I can’t talk about players who are not in the club.”
Reports monitored by THEWILL suggest that Arsenal and Chelsea have reached an agreement in the region of £65 million for Havertz’s transfer. While the 24-year-old German international has shown versatility and scored the winning goal in Chelsea’s latest UCL win, his talents have not been fully exploited. Arteta is poised to change that.
Meanwhile, Arsenal remain keen on also bringing in Rice. They are reportedly preparing a third bid after two previous offers were rejected. As THEWILL reported, Manchester City are also interested in Rice, but a potential move depends on the player’s desire to join, with Arsenal seemingly his preferred destination.

Reflecting on his appointment, he said: “I was Pep’s assistant at City, we played against Arsenal, and I saw that the soul of the club had been lost. You couldn’t enjoy it, you couldn’t feel it.”
