October 30, (THEWILL) – Bukayo Saka’s injury in Arsenal’s 5-0 victory against Nottingham Forest was described by Mikel Arteta, as merely a knock and unlikely to prevent him from travelling with England to the World Cup.

He was tackled by Forest left-back Renan Lodi in the 27th minute, the effect of which eventually forced him off the field with what appeared to be a left ankle injury.

With players like Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips on England’s injured list, this was a worrying turnout for the manager of the Three Lions, Gareth Southgate. However, Arsenal manager, Arteta, believes the winger will be fine.

Asked if the injury will prevent Saka from featuring for England when they meet Iran at Qatar 2022 on November 21, Arteta responded: “Hopefully not. It was a bad kick, he was limping, but I don’t see it further than that. Both foot and ankle, he got kicked a few times.”
