SAN FRANCISCO, October 05, (THEWILL) – The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared an indefinite nationwide strike.
According to the organisation, the strike is to protest the poor funding of Nigerian universities.
According to its National President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi, the union declared the strike at the end of its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in Ondo State.
All academic staff of universities were directed to withdraw their services with immediate effect.
