BEVERLY HILLS, December 06, (THEWILL) – The Independent National Electoral (INEC) has started collating and announcing results for Saturday’s governorship election in Bayelsa State, which is clearly a race between two main candidates, incumbent governor, Seriake Dickson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and main challenger, former governor Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
There are 8 local governments in the state – Brass, Ekeremor, Kolokuma/Opokuma, Nembe, Ogbia, Sagbama, Southern Ijaw and Yenagoa.
Below are the results so far announced by INEC at its headquarters in Bayelsa capital, Yenagoa.

So far, APC has polled of 56, 514, while the PDP has 81, 929 votes. Difference is 25, 415.
