#BayelsaDecides: Official Governorship Poll Numbers As Announced By INEC

BEVERLY HILLS, November 17, (THEWILL) – These are the official results for the Saturday, November 16, 2019, Bayelsa State governorship election as announced by INEC. 

The state has been under the firm grip of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP since 1999 but that hold is being seriously challenged by the main opposition, All Progressives Congress, APC.  There are eight Local government areas in Bayelsa State.

PDP – 19, 184

2. Brass LGA

APC – 23, 831 

PDP – 10, 410

3. Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA (PDP candidate, Diri’s LGA)

APC – 8,934 

PDP – 15,360

4. Sagbama LGA

APC: 7,831

PDP: 60,339

5. Ogbia LGA (Former President Jonathan’s LGA. He is PDP but did not openly endorse the party’s candidate.)

APC – 58, 016

PDP – 13, 763. 

6. Nembe LGA

APC – 83, 041

PDP – 874.
