May 04, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich have officially won their 34th Bundesliga championship after title contenders, Bayer Leverkusen, drew 2-2 with Freiburg on Sunday. Vincent Kompany’s Bayern team established an eight-point advantage at the top of the table with just two matches remaining in the 2025 season, making their position mathematically unbeatable.
Leverkusen, who needed a victory to postpone Bayern’s title celebration following Bayern’s 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig on Saturday, fell behind when Maximilian Eggestein struck for Freiburg in the 44th minute. The deficit doubled shortly after half-time through a Piero Hincapie own goal, putting additional pressure on Xabi Alonso’s squad.
