Nevertheless, their Bundesliga survival was confirmed as Heidenheim lost to Werder Bremen, meaning the former will face a relegation play-off against the third-placed team from the 2. Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich now turn their attention to the FIFA Club World Cup this summer, entering the tournament in exceptional form after completing a commanding league season.
Meanwhile, Hoffenheim will need to regroup during the off-season to improve upon their disappointing 2024/2025 performance and aim for greater stability next term.
