November 22, (THEWILL) — Bayern Munich overturned a two-goal deficit to crush Freiburg 6-2 at the Allianz Arena, with Michael Olise producing an outstanding display that included two goals and three assists.
Freiburg stunned the Bundesliga leaders inside 17 minutes through Yuito Suzuki’s deflected effort and Johan Manzambi’s header from a corner. But Olise set up Lennart Karl to reduce the arrears in the 22nd minute before the winger’s powerful low shot drew Bayern level in first-half stoppage time.
The hosts seized control after the interval when Dayot Upamecano converted Olise’s corner in the 55th minute. Harry Kane added a fourth five minutes later, finishing unmarked to put Bayern firmly in command.
Olise turned provider again for substitute Nicolas Jackson, who found the bottom-right corner. The France international then completed his exceptional performance by cutting inside to curl a brilliant strike into the top-left corner.
The victory extends Bayern’s advantage at the top of the table to eight points, recovering emphatically from their draw with Union Berlin before the international break.
