September 14, (THEWILL) – Bournemouth striker, Dominic Solanke, has committed his future to the club by signing a new four-year contract, keeping him at the Vitality Stadium until 2027.
The deal was announced on the Cherries’ official website on Thursday. The 26-year-old joined Bournemouth from Liverpool in January 2019 and has been a key player for the south coast club since then. Solanke played a vital role in helping Bournemouth regain promotion to the English Premier League in the 2021/2022 season, scoring 29 goals as the Cherries finished second in the Championship.
Last season, the former England youth international helped Bournemouth preserve their top-flight status, registering 13 goal involvements in 33 Premier League appearances. Solanke has started this campaign in fine form too, netting 2 goals and providing 1 assist in his first 4 games.
Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake expressed delight at securing the future of the striker, who has made 179 appearances for the club, scoring 58 goals. “We’re thrilled to have someone with such calibre as Dom commit his future to the club,” Blake said.
Solanke will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form for Bournemouth this season as the Cherries aim to cement their place in the EPL.
