June 13, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker representing Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the National Assembly, Tajuddeen Abbas, has been overwhelmingly elected as the new Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives
Abbas emerged winner in an open-voiced election held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
He was declared winner having scored majority votes on Tuesday.
He polled 353 votes from a total of 359 votes to beat two other rivals including Idris Wase, who scored 3 votes each.
