BEVERLY HILLS, June 06, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has declared June 12 as Nigeria’s Democracy Day instead of May 29 as previously set by the administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Buhari also awarded presumed winner of the presidential election, the deceased Chief MKO Abiola and his running mate, Babagana Kingibe with the highest honours in the land, the GCFR and GCON respectively.
