Breaking: Buhari Says Oyegun’s Tenure Extension Is Illegal, Unconstitutional

Must Read

BEVERLY HILLS, March 27, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has declared the tenure extension granted to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun and other members of the Executive of the party at both state and national headquarters as illegal and against the party’s constitution.

THEWILL recalls that National Executive Council (NEC) of the party, last month, approved the contentious tenure extension that has further threatened the unity of the party.

However, President Buhari, addressing shocked members of the party during the NEC meeting Tuesday at the party’s Headquarters in Abuja, urged the committee to reject the extension so as to preserve the integrity of the party and its candidates in the next general elections.
