
April 11, (THEWILL)- Former Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, is dead.
According to a source close to the deceased who spoke to newsmen on Thursday, Onu died after a brief illness in an undisclosed hospital in Nigeria.
Former president Muhammadu Buhari had in November 2015 appointed Onu as the Minister of Science and Technology.
The late 72-year-old former governor of Abia State, however, resigned his position on May 6, 2022, to join the APC presidential race, which he lost to President Bola Tinubu.
