Breaking: Supreme Court Upholds Wike’s Election

BEVERLY HILLS, January 27, (THEWILL) – The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Nyesom Wike as Governor of Rivers State.

The apex court announced the decision to upturn the judgement of the Court of Appeal on Wednesday and said it would make copies of the judgement public in two weeks.

Wike, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the April 11, 2015 election had appealed the ruling of the Court of Appeal which upheld the annulment of the poll by the election petitions tribunal in the petition filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Dakuku Peterside.
