BEVERLY HILLS, August 04, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday had a phone conversation with Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State, to commiserated with him over the death of his mother, Saratu. The President has been on medical vacation in London since May 7.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, said his principal placed the telephone call to expressed sympathy with the governor, whose mother he described “as a great woman who was a pillar of discipline to her children’’.
Adesina also said the President noted that the deceased deserved great honour for “the sacrifices she made to bring up her children on the path of sound moral character and commitment to good reputation.’’
“President Buhari said the governor’s mother contributed immeasurably to the building of a respectable pedigree for her family by raising disciplined and humble children like Aregbesola.
“He prayed that Allah would bless her soul and reward all her good deeds with paradise, and also comfort the family she left behind,” the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity disclosed in a statement.
