Buhari Orders Clampdown On Illegal Security Outfits

SAN FRANCISCO, October 26, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the immediate clampdown on all illegal security outfits in the country.

National Security Adviser, NSA, Babagana Monguno, revealed this while addressing a news conference in reaction of the recent crisis in Kaduna, Adamawa, Plateau and Benue states.

General Monguno added that all unlicenced and illicit acquisition of controlled items, including drones and broadcast equipment are to be reported to the appropriate security agencies.

With security challenges still popping up across the country, Monguno said the nation’s internal security situation is being reviewed.

THEWILL recalls that the crisis in Kaduna, which led to the killing of many, forced the state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai to declare a state of emergency in the state.
