SAN FRANCISCO, November 01, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Niger Delta stakeholders were on Tuesday locked in a closed-door meeting holding at the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting is attended by leaders drawn from the nine Niger Delta states of Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo, Cross Rivers, Imo, Akwa Ibom and Abia, including governors of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, Akwa Ibom, Edo and Cross River states.
Also in the meeting is the Secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF, David Lawal Babachair, some cabinet members, the Service Chiefs as well as some members of the National Assembly.
Some of the Niger Delta stakeholders present at the meeting include: Chief Edwin Clarke, His Royal Majesty, Chief Diette Spiff, former governor of Cross River, Donald Duke, former governor of Akwa Ibom, Obong Victor Atta, Ankio Briggs, Alabo Graham Douglas, Timi Alaibe, Mr. Nduka Ogbegbena.
