Beverly Hills, August 14, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate suspension of the Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla, from office until the conclusion of ongoing investigations against him by the ICPC.

The President’s directive was announced in a tweet by the official handle of the presidency @NGRPresident.
THEWILL had previously reported today citing a senior government official that Okono-Obla’s removal from office was imminent following a couple of alleged infractions.
