BEVERLY HILLS, January 07, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday administered the oath of office on Winifred Oyo-Ita, confirming her as the substantive Head of Service (HOS) of the Federation.
Oyo-Ita, who was appointed by the President in an acting capacity since October 2015, when the former HOS, Danladi Kifasi, was asked to proceed on terminal leave, was sworn in at the full expiration of his tenure.
The short inauguration ceremony was held before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting.
Her citation was read by the special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, after which she took her oath of office and allegiance before the President and proceeded to sign the register.
Buhari later counter-signed the register and shook hand with Oyo-Ita.
