Buhari Writes Senate, Requests Confirmation Of Two Justices For Supreme Court

SAN FRANCISCO, July 21, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate requesting the confirmation of Justice Ejembe Eko from Benue (North Central) and Justice Amina Augie from Kebbi State (North-West) as Justices of the Supreme Court.

According to the President in a letter dated July 20, the request is in accordance with Section 231(1) of the 1999 Constitution (Amended).

The President urged the Senate to expeditiously consider and confirm the nominees.
