June 14, (THEWILL) – The Catholic Diocese of Ondo has fixed June 17, 2022, for a mass burial of 40 worshippers killed during the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
The Diocese’s Director of Social Communication, Rev. Fr. Augustine Ikwu, said the burial would hold at the new cemetery on Emure Road in Owo.
“The mass burial would take place at the new cemetery of the church on Friday in Owo”, he said.
“The number of deceased worshippers still remain at 40, the injured victims are still receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Center and St. Louis Catholic Church, both in Owo, as well as in other private hospitals in the state”, he added.
