Caf rules allow the best third placed team in the seven groups of qualifiers to reach the finals, but on definite procedures.

If two teams or more are equal in points, goal difference will be decisive. If goal difference is the same, the team that scored more will play in Morocco.

Finally, if two teams are equal in scored goals, they should play a decider match to choose the winner.

Egypt are third in Group G with six points, just one point behind second-placed Senegal and four away from leaders Tunisia.
