July 14, (THEWILL) – Justice Taiwo Taiwo, of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to recognise Olorogun David Edevbie, as candidate of the PDP in the 2023 governorship election in Delta State.
THEWILL had reported that the court on Thursday, July 7, 2022, disqualified Sheriff Oborevwori, as governorship candidate of PDP for the 2023 governorship election in Delta State.
Justice Taiwo in his judgement, agreed with the plaintiff (Edevbie) that Oborevwori, ought not to be on the ballot for the 2023 governorship election for the PDP on account of supplying false and forged documents to the INEC in aid of his qualification for the governorship election.
