Winstanley joins Chelsea’s revamped recruitment squad in the footsteps of Laurence Stewart, and Boehly is hopeful that he will be joined by a few other new faces as he attempts to change the club’s philosophy regarding transfers.

Joe Shields has agreed to leave Southampton and move to Stamford Bridge in a lead recruitment role, while Christopher Vivell is anticipated to join in a short while in another director job.
