SAN FRANCISCO, May 02, (THEWILL) – Chelsea Football Club has asked its Premier League players still outside England to return by this Sunday.
This directive is sequel to report that the league may reopen in early May.
The League Board met Friday to consider possibility of reopening the Premier League by June 8, at which representatives of all 20 clubs will discuss via video conference.
There was no agreement on when the 2019-2020 season would resume but the Board remained committed to completing the season.

Chelsea players Willian, Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso were among the players given permission to travel when the league was suspended on March 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Chelsea may likely be joining others clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United that have reopened their training grounds to allow players to continue to work while observing strict social distancing measures.
