BEVERLY HILLS, CA, May 04, (THEWILL) – The Northern States Christian and Elders Forum (NOCSEF), an affiliate of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Sunday, released the names of the female students abducted by Boko Haram gunmen about 20 days ago at the Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State.
A statement signed by Evangelist Matthew Owojaiye, President/Founder of Old Time Revival Hour, Kaduna, who is also the immediate-past chairman of NOCSEF, lamented that out of the list of the 180 girls abducted, 165 of them are Christians.
“Daughters of Zion” were “taken captive, to be treated as slaves and sold into marriage to unclean people,” he lamented, saying ” Abomination has been committed.”
Calling on all Christians in the country to “Raise lamentation to High Heavens,” describing the abduction of the girls as “a shame on the Church of the Living God,” the body lamented that most of the abducted school girls are Christians.
In a declaration of facts contained in the statement which also stated the names of the abducted girls,NOCSEF said : “Chibok Local Government is 90 percent Christians. Majority of the girls abducted are Christian! Why did Boko Haram visit Chibok Local Government? Why didn’t they visit so many other Local Government Girls Secondary Schools in Borno State?
The Church in Nigeria is hereby called to A Lamentation Prayer.”
The group therefore called on every Christian home in the country to raise a lamentation to heaven daily.
” Let God arise and defend his Name, Honour and Majesty. Let a 15 minutes cry to heaven be done in every Church every time they gather. Oh God, Rend the Heavens and come down! Why should the people say where is our God?,” it stated.

The Christian body maintained that “The Military may not be able to solve the problem but prayer will,” adding “Ordinary Military force may not get them out! Intensive Agonizing Prayer will.”
The group also demanded the following from the Federal Government whose duty, according to the statement, it was to protect the innocent girls: ” A N50million damage as trauma compensation to each girl; A preparation to take each girl to an overseas University on Government scholarship by September 2014, saying preparation for that must start now! ; SS1 and SS2 girls in that school must be transferred to schools of their choice from Government coffer.”
