Chukwueze Joins Fulham On Loan From Milan

Samuel Chukwueze

September 02, (THEWILL) — Samuel Chukwueze has officially joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan for the 2025/2026 season, with the English Premier League club holding an option to make the arrangement permanent.

AC Milan confirmed the transfer in an official statement, expressing best wishes for the winger’s forthcoming campaign in England.

The deal was completed on Monday after Chukwueze travelled to London for a medical on deadline day.

Fulham confirmed the move, describing their delight at signing the Nigerian international on loan with the option to sign him permanently. Reports suggest that the buy-option could range between €25 million and €30 million.

Chukwueze expressed his pleasure at joining Fulham, stating that the club already felt like home and that he was eager to begin.

Fulham vice-chairman Tony Khan welcomed him as a “tremendous talent” with valuable experience in European and international football. Chukwueze will wear the number 19 shirt and link up with fellow Nigerians Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey at Craven Cottage.

At AC Milan, Chukwueze, who had joined in the summer of 2023 from Villarreal, struggled to secure a regular starting role.

His spell at Milan yielded modest returns over 51 appearances and four Serie A goals. With Fulham, he seeks to revitalise his career through consistent playing time in the EPL.

The loan swap forms part of Fulham’s late-window strategy to reinforce their attacking options.

Chukwueze joins fellow winger Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk in west London, as Fulham actively pursued multiple additions to strengthen their offensive lineup before the transfer window closed on Monday.
