BEVERLY HILLS, February 28, (THEWILL) – A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt on Thursday removed Dumo Lulu-Briggs as the governorship candidate of Accord in Rivers State.
Justice E. A. Obile held that there was no record indicating that the plaintiff, Precious Baridon, relinquished his (Baridon) position as the authentic governorship candidate to Lulu-Briggs.
The court also ruled that Lulu-Briggs should henceforth desist from parading himself as the governorship candidate of Accord.
With the judgement, it is safe to assume that incumbent Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would have it easy at the poll and get re-elected.
This is because the All Progressives Congress (APC) has also been barred from contesting at the poll due to internal wars.
