BEVERLY HILLS, December 15, (THEWILL) – The FCT High Court has removed the Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Uche Secondus from office and given him 14 days to obey the order.

Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf of the Maitama, Abuja court gave the order Tuesday while delivering judgement in a suit filed by a Mr. Ahmed Gulak, a former Political Adviser to immediate past President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

Gulak, a member of the PDP, had opposed the appointment of Secondus, who was Deputy National Chairman of the party, as Acting Chairman following the resignation of Dr. Adamu Muazu from the post. He said the appointment was illegal and contravened the constitution of the party, since it clearly spelt out which zone should occupy specific positions in the party.
