April 30, (THEWILL) – The Cross River State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has demanded three years mandatory dues from aspirants.
The demand by the state chapter of the ruling party also serves as penalty for late payment of dues.
While aspirants for the office of the president are expected to pay one million naira, those for office of the governor will pay five hundred thousand naira.
Aspirants for the federal and state legislative houses are expected to pay one hundred thousand naira only.
The State Publicity Secretary of the party, Erasmus Ekpang, made this known in a release made available in Calabar.
He added that this is in line with directives from the state chairman of the party, Alphonsus Eba.
The message read in part “In line with the instructions of the State Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Cross River State, Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba, all aspirants vying for different elective offices at both the State and Federal levels, are hereby notified to pay their 3 (three) years mandatory DUES as penalty for late payment of dues.
“Aspirants for State House of Assembly, Federal House of Representatives and Senate are to pay the sum of N100,000.00
“Aspirants for the office of Governor are to pay N500,000.00
“Aspirants for the office of President to pay N1,000,000.00
“All Aspirants are to pay administrative fee of 10% of the full cost of their forms”, the statement read.
Over 100 aspirants have so far indicated interest to contest for various offices on the party’s platform, including the state governor, Professor Ben Ayade, who recently joined the presidential race.
