After the disappointment of their cup exit, the Seagulls suffered a midweek defeat at Nottingham Forest before delivering a commanding display at home on Saturday. Doubles from Deniz Undav, Pascal Gross, and Danny Welbeck secured the club’s greatest Premier League win ever.
De Zerbi praised his team’s performance, saying it was the best of his managerial career. He acknowledged the pain of their previous two games, saying, “This victory started in Wembley, not today because today we showed pride, we played well.”

On the other hand, Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui took responsibility for his team’s heavy defeat, apologising to the traveling fans. He said: “I am guilty more than ever today because I am the coach.” The loss leaves Wolves eight points above the relegation zone, looking over their shoulders with just four games left to play.
