March 14, (THEWILL) — Late goals from substitutes, Viktor Gyokeres and Max Dowman, gave Arsenal a 2-0 English Premier League win over Everton, stretching their lead at the top of the table to 10 points.

The breakthrough arrived in the 89th minute when Pickford failed to claim Dowman’s cross and the ball deflected off Piero Hincapie into Gyokeres’ path for a straightforward finish. Dowman then produced a moment of his own, racing onto the ball to score from a Pickford error and becoming the youngest goalscorer in EPL history at 16 years of age.
The result is Arsenal’s fourth consecutive League victory and hands Everton their first defeat in three matches. Manchester City, who trail the Gunners by 10 points, face West Ham in a match that could deepen the gap at the summit further still.
