April 09, (THEWILL) – A mild drama played out on the floor of the Edo State House of Assembly on Wednesday when the member representing Egor Constituency, Hon. Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, introduced herself as “Née Idibia” — a designation traditionally used to denote the maiden name of a married woman.
The unexpected move raised eyebrows among her colleagues and the public, especially given the lawmaker’s speculated ties to Nigerian music icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as Tuface.
Osawaru, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has in recent times been linked romantically to the singer.
Her introduction comes barely two weeks after she updated her Instagram bio to include “Idibia” on March 29 — a move that coincided with a social media post by Annie Idibia, the singer’s estranged wife, who reverted to her maiden name, Macaulay.
