SAN FRANCISCO, October 10, (THEWILL) – The Department of State Service, DSS has released all the justices it arrested in a nationwide pre-dawn raid over corruption charges. The raids were done over the weekend after warrants were duly served.
THEWILL gathered from sources at the DSS that the justices were released on bail on self-recognition but will be asked to return to the agency pending when charges are filed.
At least five justices including two from the Supreme Court and one from the Court of Appeal were detained in the operation.
They are Justices Sylvester Ngwuta and Inyang Okoro both of the Supreme Court, the suspended Presiding Justice of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division, Justice Mohammed Ladan Tsamiya, Justice Kabiru Auta of Kano State High Court and Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja.
The DSS said it seized over N100 million naira and over $500, 00 in cash from the justices.
