July 08, (THEWILL) — The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chairman in Ebonyi State, Dr (Mrs) Jennifer Nwafor, reiterated the party’s goal to win all upcoming elections in both Ebonyi State and Nigeria at large.

Mrs Jennifer disclosed this during an interview with journalists at the ADC office in Abakaliki.

She called on other coalition partners in Ebonyi State to unite in order to win future elections so as to bring the needed change that Nigerians were yearning for.

While speaking on the state affairs of the party, Adibe said, “In Ebonyi State, just like what is going on in every other state, after the announcement by the coalition partners, we went back to our drawing board to see how we can do everything we can to proceed. You know, what we are doing now is no longer what we used to do. Because now we are going down the grassroots to get more people.

The ADC chairman in Ebonyi State revealed that since the announcement of the coalition, the party has been interfacing with other coalition partners in order to reposition and strengthen the party. “Many people have been calling, many have been registering. At least within these four days, we registered more than 2,000 members. So, many are still calling, and many are still needing to register.

“Because they want a change in Nigeria. And it’s a very good thing. So, the party has been doing everything possible to bring all our coalition partners together, especially those from Ebonyi State. So, we’ve been meeting, we’ve been interfacing, and then we see how we can nip everything in the bud.

According to her, plans are underway for a programme in order to create awareness of the party.

“Like this week now, we have meetings with the stakeholders, that is, with our coalition partners. So, after that, we will do a lot of programmes and raise more awareness. So that people will know that, yes, this is truly the ADC. ADC is not two in Ebonyi State. And we don’t have two ADCs in Nigeria. It’s only one ADC.

“So, ADC is a political party. So, all the groups, the NGOs that are coming in, everybody will be under one umbrella, which is the ADC. So, now we are also planning programs, like people who want to defect officially. So, very soon it will be happening. So, full testing of microphones. So, you see, the people will come and defect officially to our party.

“Then, if you are in Labor and you are joining ADC, PDP, or any party and you are joining ADC, it’s not me that you are joining in this party. So, if you are in ADC, you are in ADC. So, come out openly and then make your declaration that you are not in ADC.

She further dismissed the rumour of betraying the party over the allegations of working for the ruling APC in the State, adding that nobody was sponsoring her.

“I’m not willing to betray our party, the ADC. So, we are willing to support ADC to the end, in every state and in Nigeria. So, nobody is sponsoring ADC. Like I said, I’ve been the Chairman, but I did my Congress in May 2022. I think our next Congress will be coming up next year, too.

“So, I’ve been the State Chairman. Now, I’m not just a State Chairman, I’ve been the State Chairman before now. So, it is, you know, they said everything has been designed. So, we do everything we can to make sure that the party is successful in the upcoming elections”, she said.
