August 01, (THEWILL) – The Executive Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Hon. Ajah Consider Chinonso, has commended President Bola Tinubu on his choice of Senator David Umahi as ministerial nominee from Ebonyi State.
Aja, who gave the commendation during an interactive session with journalists in Abakaliki, the State capital, expressed the hope that the former governor will replicate what he did in Ebonyi State at the federal level, describing him as an experienced and outstanding leader.
Similarly, Ajah also commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt Hon. Francis Nwifuru, for the grand reception held in honour of the Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate and immediate past Governor of the State, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, on his 60th birthday.
The Council Chairman noted that the reception of the former governor, who is now a ministerial nominee, was an indication that he is truly loved by the State.
He, therefore, promised continued support for the administration of Nwifuru, adding that as a youth, the Governor was coaching the young generation on how to respect their benefactor.
Ajah further commended the State Governor for his decision to construct a road that leads to the residence of late Senator Anyim Ude, one of the founding fathers of the State and a veteran journalist.
He also lauded the Governor for the support he gave to the late Ude family and that of the Presbyterian Church, Iyioji, Akaeze, Ivo Local Government Area of the State, where the late Ude worshipped until his death.
The Governor had announced a N15 million cash donation for the interior building of the church as part of his decision to honour the late Senator, a decision Ajah described as commendable, adding that he has given the late Ude family a sense of belonging.
He opined that since he assumed the leadership of Ebonyi State, Governor Nwifuru has touched lives and continues to do so and further described Nwifuru as a divine mandate Governor, who has the people at heart at all times.
