EFCC Arrests Deziani’s Hubby, Rear Admiral Alison-Madueke Over Alleged Money Laundering

BEVERLY HILLS, February 17, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Wednesday detained Rear Admiral Alison-Madueke (Rtd), husband of former Petroleum Resources Minister, Deziani Alsion-Madueke over allegations of laundering at least $600, 000 for her.

The former Naval Chief was briefly detained on Wednesday morning at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja and granted administrative bail after voluntarily writing a statement, THEWILL gathered.

A source at the EFCC, who confirmed the arrest, said he was questioned for several hours over the alleged use of his personal accounts to launder the funds.

The former Petroleum Resources Minister, who is in London receiving treatment for cancer has been under investigation for money laundering and corruption by the authorities in Britain. She was briefly detained and is presently free after posting bail.
