February 21, (THEWILL) – Egypt is gearing up to face off against Nigeria in the penultimate match of Group A in the TotalEnergies Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations. Mahmoud Gaber, Egypt’s coach, stated that his team was ready and motivated to take on their opponents in the upcoming match.
In their first match of the tournament, Egypt was unable to secure a win, drawing 0-0 with Mozambique. Despite dominating the match, the team failed to score in front of their home fans. Gaber has confirmed that the team has been working hard since the Mozambique game and is ready to win.
Gaber said: “It is possible that we will change the way we play against Nigeria. We watched the Nigeria-Senegal match and we prepared well for the match also hinted at possible changes to the team’s style of play against Nigeria.”
Omar Fayed, a defender for Arab Contractors, stated that the team was not afraid to face any opponent and was prepared fight for the win. He said: “We respect all the teams, but we are not afraid to play against any team. Our goal is to get the three points and we will fight for the win.”
The match between Egypt and Nigeria is set to take place at the Cairo International stadium on Wednesday.
