SAN FRANCISCO, March 12, (THEWILL) – The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has withdrawn the provisional clearance given to Mr. Peter Obafemi by the Ekiti Screening Appeal Committee, the national headquarters of the party said in a statement Wednesday.
The statement by Chief Olisa Metuh, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, said, Mr. Peter Obafemi is hence not eligible to participate in the primary to elect the candidate of the PDP for the Ekiti governorship election.
In the same vein, the National Working Committee has approved the inauguration of a 16 man Caretaker Committee for Sokoto State with Abdullahi S. Muhammed as Chairman and Hon. Musa Garba Gusau as Secretary, the PDP said.
The Inauguration will hold on Friday 14th March 2014 at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja at 9 am.
