January 13, (THEWILL) — Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko Disco) has appointed Wola Joseph-Condotti as its new Chief Executive Officer, following the resignation of Rekhia Momoh, who led the company for nearly two years.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect as of Tuesday, January 13, 2026, marks a major leadership transition as the utility enters a new era under fresh ownership.
Joseph-Condotti previously served as the Group Managing Director and CEO of West Power & Gas Limited, the parent company of Eko Disco.
She played a pivotal role in the ₦360 billion acquisition of a 60% controlling stake in Eko Disco by Transgrid Enerco Limited—a consortium including North-South Power Company, Axxela Limited, and the Stanbic IBTC Infrastructure Growth Fund.
The landmark transaction, completed on December 30, 2025, is one of the largest privately negotiated deals in the Nigerian power sector since the 2013 privatization.
A seasoned professional and recognized thought leader, Joseph-Condotti brings extensive experience in power generation, distribution, and energy investment.
Her career at Eko Disco has been distinguished by several pioneering roles, including serving as the company’s first Chief Legal and Company Secretary.
She also held leadership positions as Head of Regulatory Compliance, Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, and Supervising Chief of Customer Service.
Joseph-Condotti holds an LLM from Harvard Law School and an MBA from INSEAD Business School. Her academic and professional background is complemented by her status as an International Finance Corporation (IFC) certified corporate governance trainer.
She is also a founding member of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) and has been consistently recognized on the Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Nigeria.
The new CEO assumes leadership at a time of significant transition for the Disco, which serves the southern part of Lagos State and Agbara in Ogun State.
The new investors, Transgrid Enerco, have pledged to modernize operations and expand distribution capacity from 513MW to 1,500MW, with a focus on improving service reliability and integrating renewable energy solutions.
